How do I find available hotels for the period I am interested in?

In the menu search containing the data on the arrival date (check in) and on departure date (check out) please select your arrival dates and your destination and click on “search” right below. All hotels shown are available.

Which is the procedure in order to book a hotel?

Based on the data for your travel and your sojourn period are presented the available hotels and the lowest price. After completing your information and credit card details you will receive a confirmation e-mail with your booking code as well as all details of your booking such as arrival date (check-in), departure date (check-out), cancellation policy, room description, address and telephone number of the hotel.

How will I receive the voucher for the hotel?

By the time a booking is completed, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from us including all necessary details such as the reservation number, hotel information (phone and address), the price, the arrival date(check in), the departure date (check out), the description of facilities and the cancellation conditions of the hotel. On your arrival at the hotel you should need only the voucher and your passport or identification card. In exceptional cases the voucher could be sent by fax. In case you face up to any problems please contact our customer service department via phone or email.

Is there a minimum age limit for hotel reservations?

Some hotels require a minimum age limit for rooms’ reservation. For additional information concerning this issue, please contact either our customer service department or the hotel directly.

How do I know that my reservation is confirmed?

Once you complete the four steps of the booking procedure an instant confirmation page will be displayed on the screen of your computer. On this page you can check all your reservation details and booking number. We recommend you to print it. Within few minutes you will receive a confirmation e-mail with all the booking and payment details included. The most common reason for not receiving the confirmation e-mail is a misspelling on the e-mail address. Therefore, please recheck your e-mail address before completing your reservation. Also, in some other cases the confirmation e-mail could be delivered in the spam/junk folder. If you don’t receive your confirmation e-mail please contact our customer service department via phone or email.

Can I book a hotel via e-mail or phone?

Yes you can book a hotel via e-mail or telephone. Please contact us via e-mail at service@tripsta.ie or via phone. We will be glad to serve you.

Can I book a hotel for daily use?

Unfortunately it is not possible to book up in hotel for daily use. The minimum reservation limit you can make through tripsta.ie is one (1) night.

How can I cancel my hotel booking?

You can click on the link Hotel Cancellation which you can find at the end of the booking details, in the confirmation email you received at the time of your booking, or click here.

You can find your booking ID in the confirmation email you received at the time of your booking.

If I need to cancel my booking, will I pay a cancelation fee?

Each hotel has its own booking cancellation policy. Therefore, please read carefully the cancellation policy of each hotel, which is available in the fourth (4) step of the booking procedure under “Payment” section.

How do I know if my reservation was successfully cancelled?

Once you cancel your reservation you will receive a confirmation e-mail of your cancellation. In case you will not receive the cancellation e-mail, please contact us via e-mail providing your reservation details or call our customer service department.

How can I change my reservation?

If you want to change your reservation please contact us as soon as possible. Mostly changes are possible without problems. If you wish to reduce your stay period, the hotel may charge you with an amendment fee. In this case you can contact us by sending us an e-mail or by calling our customer service department.

How and when do I have to pay for the hotel?

The payment of your booked room/s is processed by credit card. The acceptable types of credit cards by our system are: MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, Euroline, Visa and Visa Electron. If the payment is processed by credit card, the whole amount is charged by the end of the booking procedure

Does the hotel need any deposit or payment in advance?

The hotel is paid by tripsta.ie and the visitors of our website do not engage in any transaction with the hotel.

Why does Tripsta.ie need my credit card data for the hotel booking?

The details of your credit card are required for the payment of the hotel. Your credit card details are not saved in any way in our system.

Is it safe to fill in the number of my credit card? How safe is the tripsta.ie website?

Your credit card information is send to us via a secure server. We use the most up-to-date and secure technology available, which encrypts your personal and credit card details. The encryption method used is the standard technology “Secure Socket Layer” (SSL). We also use a firewall which protects our server and system from unauthorized access.

Where can I find contact details of the hotel?

In the hotel overview page you will find the hotel address you are interested in. Other contact details will be delivered to you through the confirmation e-mail that you will receive after your booking.

What is the difference between a double and a twin room?

The double room includes a double bed while a twin room two single beds.

What are the check-in (Arrival Date) and check-out (Departure Date) hours in your hotels?

The standard hours for check-in and check-out are 14:00GMT and 12:00GMT respectively. However, if you wish to check-in earlier or check-out later from the defined time, you may contact directly the hotel. Information concerning the contact details of the hotel will be sent to you via the confirmation e-mail after the reservation has been completed.

How do I know if the hotel has parking facilities?

In the hotel overview page, under “Hotel Facilities” you will find more information about parking in or near the hotel. If this is not specified, please contact our service department via phone or email.

How do I know if the hotel offers transport service from and to the airport and how can I book up?

In case the hotel offers transport service it will be listed on the overview page of the hotel under the section “Hotel Facilities”. If so, you can contact the hotel directly and arrange for, once your reservation is confirmed. Information concerning the contact with the hotel you will find in your confirmation e-mail after your reservation is completed.

How do I find if a hotel has a certain facility, e.g. an elevator?

In the overview page of the hotel under the section “Hotel Facilities” you can see all the services and activities offered by the hotel.

How do I find out if a hotel allows pets?

You can contact directly our customer service department via phone or e-mail. We will be glad to help you.

Do hotels charge for children?

This really depends on the hotel policy. After adding the destination, arrival/destination dates, number of adults/kids and age on tripsta.co.uk system you can become aware, from the list of hotels appeared, which of them offer reduced rates for children or not by comparing the presented prices.

Do prices on your website are per room or per person?

All the hotel prices on the website of tripsta.co.uk are per room, unless it is differently indicated. Additional benefits/services may be extra charged. The benefits offered by a hotel are shown on each hotel’s review page.

Do I pay any extra booking fee?

No, no extra booking fee is charged.

Is breakfast included in the price?

In the list of all available hotels appeared after the search of destination and room/s you can see in each hotel, beneath the room type if breakfast is included in the total price.

Are taxes included in the total price?

All the taxes are included in the listed price. The price on tripsta.ie website is the final price.

Why do I have to provide my credit card details?

The hotel needs this information to guarantee the booking in case of cancellation beyond the period specified in the cancellation policy, or in case the client does not appear at the hotel. If the hotel cannot verify the validity of the credit card or the amount on the credit card is not sufficient to guarantee the reservation (for the amount of the cancellation fees), it has the right to cancel the booking. In that case, tripsta customer service will contact you.

Does tripsta.ie charge anything to my credit card?

Tripsta.ie will not charge any amount to your card. You will have to pay the total amount of the reservation directly to the hotel on arrival or departure, depending on the hotel's payment policy.
The hotel is allowed to pre-authorize the credit card for the amount of the cancellation fees, or to charge the cancellation fees upon receiving the booking, to guarantee the reservation. If the hotel decides to charge the cancellation fees as guarantee, the hotel will refund those fees in 3 calendar days if the reservation gets cancelled, or deduct the amount from the final amount paid at the hotel.

Exception: in case of a nonrefundable fee, depending on the hotel, the hotel can charge the total amount at the time of booking.

Is it necessary to leave a deposit or make a payment in advance to the hotel?

No, the payment for the stay is to be made once you arrive to the hotel. The hotel reserves the right to check the validity of your credit card details before your arrival. If the hotel cannot verify the credit card data, it has the right to cancel the booking.
If you have booked a Non Refundable fee, where amendments on the bookings are no longer allowed and total cancellation fees apply from the time of booking, the hotel can charge the entire amount of the booking upon receiving the booking confirmation.

Am I allowed to pay at the hotel by using a different credit card than the one I used to make my booking?

Generally, hotels accept different cards or cash.

Can I chose the currency in which I pay at the hotel?

No, the payment at the hotel has to be made in the local currency of the hotel.

Can I make a booking with a debit card?

No, hotels normally do not accept debit cards to guarantee reservations. To make a booking it is essential to use a valid credit card.
